Janele & Steve

Steve and Janele. Can I write a novel in a blog post? I think not. If you read my post about their engagement pictures, you might understand why I want to write way too much.

Two of my dearest friends were married September 26th, 2009. It was a day that everyone involved was excited about it's approach, and one about which excitement remains. A beautiful marriage has begun.

Like the wedding the day before, there were moments abounding where, as maid of honor said, "God is here." I will tell of a few of these moments...

We had been discussing among friends at church for a few weeks about God's allowing us to be a part of his plan- even in such things as world events and the weather. As I'm sure every bride wants on her wedding day (insert slight sarcastic tone), it began pouring as everyone approached the church to get ready. The forecast was for rain most of the day. Steve dashed into the church soaked after being the servant that he is and escorting family and friends alike into the lobby. Discussions on God and weather were put into practice. We asked God to keep the rain at bay between 3 and 6 pm.

As we finished up the ceremony and guests exited, I glanced out the window to see the most beautiful sky I'd seen in ages with fluffy white clouds and deep blues. We headed to the top of Art Hill in Forest Park where they began dating and became engaged.

As we hit the gas to leave our last outdoor spot for pictures, and head to a fun indoor location, I saw lightning in the rear view mirror. We went to Centenary UMC for some romantic indoor pictures where Steve's mom helps run The Bridge (for which I am the staff photographer).
