I headed back to the ball field for a few more baseball portraits with
Ryan at his home field. We do not often photograph sports photos, so it
was a good challenge to get some traditional photos with a bit of a
modern take on it. With most of my days full of sparking white dresses,
tuxedos, flowers, or sleeping babies, a day with an athlete reminded me
how far I've come since my days of thinking I was a high school
athlete. I've even lost the lingo... Ryan was a good sport and put up
with me describing his poses while my brain fought with me for the words. Great job, Ryan!
Big Brother B
My last blog post was a sleepy, cozy, quiet set of images of a newborn. Let's say that today is after nap time. It's time to play with big brother B to celebrate him turning 2!
Happy Birthday, Big Brother B!

Baby Brother B

Shhhh.... he's sleeping.
Naps in the sunshine are my favorite. Maybe our time together will rub off on this little fella.
I just love these little baby toes!
Congratulations on your newest little one!
Kocher Family
Thursday, April 19, 2012
One of the first photo projects I did with children while I was in college included one of these kids. She was tiny. Now she's all grown up. Can you guess?
I love how each of their personalities come out on this one... It's a great representation of them as a family: bright, cheery, together, a little goofy.
But this (seriously) wonderful family, that I can brag on for hours
still has plenty
of little ones
to keep me going...

Firecracker
Tuesday, April 17, 2012
This little gal is a firecracker. She's bright, colorful, lively, and she makes me grin. Just like a good set of fireworks. :) She also is celebrating being two!
disclaimer: Your cheeks might hurt after this one. She's just delightful!
Her momma concocted this awesome plan of whimsy+ forest+ balloons + blue dress. I like it. :)
But as much as I love her in the forest floor, with flowers galore

I also love the balloons here, hilltop.
Time to figure out how to make this outfit work in adult-size. I want to wear leggings and gray chucks...Ryan: High School Senior
Meet Ryan. Senior at Collinsville Christian High School, student athlete, and I'm going to add natural on the other side of the camera. His session was on a gorgeous cloudless day- but that sun is harsh- and he did an amazing job.
He let me experiment a bit with some lighting setups, and I am so glad he did. I love these!
I can't get enough of this one...
